Journeyman Electrician

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in industrial/commercial settings.
  • Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified.
  • Confirm dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)
  • Installs or helps install electrical components.
  • Preferably 5 years of experience on Military Installations

Able to work 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and weekend and night shifts. Physical work is a primary part (more than 75%) of the job which includes, but is not limited to, crawling, standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, able to lift heavy objects in excess of 45 pounds and pulling and pushing of objects is required. Repetitive use of fingers, hands, and arms.

High Voltage Electrician

Location: Various locations throughout California, Arizona, and Hawaii

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Installs medium- high voltage systems and equipment such as circuit breakers, disconnect switches, transformers, grounding systems, poles, relays, lightning arrestors, cathodic protection systems, street and floodlight systems, power supplies and emergency generators.
  • Installs overhead and underground distribution lines. Splices cables, forms and seals cable joints, bends and grounds cable. Installs wire or cable transmission lines from power supply point to buildings, substation, and other locations of transformation or use.
  • Preferably NCSCB Certified
  • Preferably 5 year experience on Military Installations
  • Working Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the United Facilities Criteria (UFC)
